Meet Denise D. Stansfield, Graphic Designer & Illustrator
My roots are in California. I love the ocean and I love art. My family moved from the orchards of Saratoga to the beaches of Santa Cruz, Ca in 1975 when I was sixteen.
For more than 35 years, I have been devoted to the creation of graphic design and illustration through print and digital media. Proudly, I have received outstanding recognition for my work including a series of wine labels designed for the former Beatles member, Sir Paul McCartney’s Garland Appeal Foundation. My product designs have been presented before the Presidential Cabinet at the White House and my dazzling stage designs have appeared on Broadway shows and national broadcasting sets.
I have also been the contributing editor and travel writer for Ocean Sports International and On-The-Edge magazines promoting sustainable eco-travel within the diving industry in the Caribbean and Central America.
I was co-founder of the program "Arts Alive" in 2000, a privately funded arts program for K-6 in the Happy Valley School District.
I was the founder of the advocacy group Save Our Skies Santa Cruz. I built a large movement by strategizing and publishing educational media through internet, social media, print and television. Our voice was heard all the way to Washington D.C., recieving recognition from the US President, Congress and the FAA.
My home and design studio is located in the Santa Cruz mountains above the Monterey Bay in California. I enjoy my leisure time with family and friends, at the beach, painting, dancing, swimming, scuba diving, and hiking the many trails near my home.
